Shawna Kaplan, LMSW (she/her)

Shawna is a Licensed Master Social Worker and obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The University of Pittsburgh. Shawna participated in the Behavioral Health Scholars Fellowship, providing her with deep insight on wide-scale topics within mental health. 

Shawna’s background spans working in schools, after-school programs, residential treatment centers, and hospitals. Throughout her time working in these settings, Shawna has learned to tailor therapeutic care to the individuals’ needs and interests. 

Shawna specializes in trauma and holistic wellness and is dedicated to helping individuals heal and thrive through an integrated mind-body approach.

Shawna supports youth, adolescents, and their families through life’s challenges through CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness, and Expressive therapies. Shawna is empathetic, caring, and compassionate, and creates a safe place for her clients. 

In her free time, Shawna enjoys hanging out with her dog Blue, practicing yoga, reading, and trying new restaurants around Austin.
